Signs worth taking seriously
- Spending more time or money than you planned, or chasing losses.
- Borrowing, or using money meant for bills, to gamble.
- Hiding gambling from people close to you.
- Feeling anxious, low or irritable when not gambling.
- Gambling to escape problems rather than for entertainment.
None of these needs to be severe to be worth a call. The helpline also talks to family members and friends who are worried about someone else.
Limits and exclusion at Crown Perth
Crown says it enforces 12-hour daily and 48-hour weekly limits on gaming sessions at Crown Perth. Self-exclusion — asking to be barred from the venue — is available through the Crown PlaySafe programme, as is third-party exclusion, where someone else raises a concern.
