This is a hotel review, so I treat the casino the way I treat the car parks: as part of the building you will move through, with rules you should know. I do not cover games, odds or offers, and nothing on this site is a way to gamble. In Australia, casinos are physical venues only; Crown's own FAQ notes that federal law prevents it from offering gambling over the internet.

Why it matters to a hotel guest
First, age. Children can stay at Crown Towers, but they cannot enter the casino, and some routes between car parks and the hotels pass close to gaming areas. Crown's own wording on luggage is telling: hotel guests — "not including persons under the age of 18 years" — may move luggage between the multi-level car park and the hotel by the most direct route through the casino. If you are travelling with children, use the Crown Towers driveway and drop-off, or the undercroft car park lifts, and avoid that shortcut.
Second, bags. Large bags, briefcases, suitcases and laptops are not permitted in the casino, and security may ask to inspect what you carry on Crown property. Again: arrive through the Towers entrance and the question never comes up.
Third, dress. Neat casual is the minimum; Crown lists swimwear, rubber thongs, gym activewear, sleepwear and fancy dress among the things that will get you turned away, along with clothing linked to outlaw motorcycle gangs. Those standards are written for the casino.
Identification
Crown says customers may be asked for identification for some transactions, including cash transactions of $5,000 or more, as part of its legal obligations. Carry photo ID if you plan to visit the gaming floor; entry is for adults 18 and over only.
Responsible gambling
If gambling stops being fun — for you or someone you are travelling with — help is free and confidential. The Problem Gambling Helpline, which the Western Australian Government lists, is on 1800 858 858, 24 hours a day; calls are free and do not appear on your phone bill. Gambling Help WA offers face-to-face counselling, and Crown runs the Crown PlaySafe Centre on site. Our responsible gambling page lists all of them.
