Readers deserve to know who pays for a review. Here is the whole picture, as of 1 November 2026.
The one way we earn
Every page carries a room-request form. When you send one, our booking desk checks availability and the current rate with the hotel's reservations team or with a booking partner, and replies to you by email. If you accept an offer and the stay is confirmed, the hotel or the booking partner that completes the reservation pays us a commission. You pay the hotel's rate; the commission is not added to your bill.
If you never send a request, or you send one and decide not to book, we earn nothing from your visit — and that is fine.
What we do not do
- We do not run advertising. There are no ad slots, ad scripts or sponsored placements on this site.
- We are not part of any affiliate network at the moment. The buttons that point to the hotel go straight to crownperth.com.au, with no tracking codes or referral tags.
- We do not take payment from Crown Resorts, Crown Perth or any other hotel for coverage, and nobody at Crown reviewed this site before publication.
- We do not take card details. The request form asks for your name, email, dates and preferences — never payment.
- We do not sell or rent your details. See the privacy page for exactly what happens to a request.
Why that model, and its tension
A commission on confirmed stays means the site does better when people book. I know that creates a pull towards being kind to the hotel. The defences are on the page: the verdict lists what I think is wrong as clearly as what is right, the notebook lists the hotel's information gaps, and nothing here says "best" without a reason. If you think I have been too generous anywhere, write to hello@burswoodtowerreview.com.
If that ever changes
If we add advertising, an affiliate programme or a sponsored arrangement, this page will say so first, with the date, and any affected link will be labelled where it appears.
What we commit to
- One income source, described in full.
- Hotel links carry no tracking.
- No ads, no card details, no data sales.
The honest caveat
- Commission creates an incentive to encourage bookings — read the verdict with that in mind.
