Most two-day plans are written as if a hotel had no timetable. This one is built from Crown's own hours, so you do not arrive at a closed bar or a cold pool. It assumes a Friday-to-Sunday stay, because that is when most people come — and when the rules are strictest.
Day one — arrival
- From 3pm: check in. If you arrive earlier, the desk stores luggage and calls or texts when the room is ready. Arrive at the Crown Towers entrance and hand the car to valet if you drove.
- Before 7pm: the outdoor pool closes at 8pm and Crown's page says there is no swimming after dark, so use the last of the afternoon. Free loungers are fine; daybeds are hired by the half day.
- Early evening: a drink at TWR, which serves coffee from 6:30am and stays open until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays. If your room includes the Crystal Club, canapés there run from 5:30pm to 7pm.
- Dinner: book Rockpool Bar & Grill or Nobu ahead — Nobu says bookings are essential — or eat at Epicurean, which serves dinner until 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
- Night: a show at Crown Theatre if one is on (see the calendar), or a match at Optus Stadium, 15 to 20 minutes away on foot.
Day two — the full day
- From 5am: the gym opens. A run along the river paths through Burswood Park is the better option on a mild morning.
- Breakfast: Epicurean from 6:30am — on weekends breakfast there is for Crown hotel guests only — or the Crystal Club from 7am if it is included.
- Morning: cross into the city on foot over the Matagarup Bridge, or take the free shuttle to Burswood station and the train. Come back for lunch.
- Afternoon: Crown Spa opens until 6pm on Saturdays. A treatment of an hour or more includes the Aqua Retreat; arrive an hour early to use it. Remember that under-16s are not admitted.
- Evening: a quieter night: room service is available 24 hours, and the Premier rooms promise the river and the skyline to look at.
Day three — the morning
- Breakfast as above.
- By 11am: check out. Late check-out is not offered on Sundays, so do not count on it.
- Afternoon: if your flight is late, hire a pool daybed for the 2pm–7pm half day or book the spa. Both keep you on site without a room.
If you are here midweek
Everything gets easier. Late check-out may be available for a fee (call the reservations line), pool hire is roughly half the weekend price, and weekday dinners avoid the Saturday and Sunday surcharges that some Crown venues add. If your dates are flexible, a Tuesday-to-Thursday stay is the best-value version of this hotel.
